Epidural anaesthesia is well known and frequently administered, for deliveries, in the lumbar region at the base of the spine. On-the-other-hand, it is largely unknown and little used at the cervical level at the base of the neck. Nevertheless this method is indicated for a number of interventions and may be especially use for patients with cardiac or respiratory problems. The value of this film is in its didactic description of the infrequently used technique.
