In non-fertile couples, azoospermia represents 9 % of the various causes. The overall results from a hormonal and seminal profile will orient the etiology towards either an excretory or secretory origin. In excretory azoospermia, micro surgical techniques may in some cases reestablish sperm path permeability. According to the results, supplementary analysis may be attempted with new techniques of movement analysis and by monoclonal antibody studies of the acrosomic reaction. Azoospermia is a pathology which the couple must share. In view of the somewhat modest results, a choice between CECOS and adoption may only be made after reflection by both partners.
