Through his discovery of X-rays in November 1895, Professor Röntgen achieved outstanding progress in medicine and in many other scientific fields. This Europe born emerging technology allowed development of various new applications, from art to industry, from paleontology to aeronautics, from zoology to medical imaging, and even in the construction of the Channel Tunnel. The 100th anniversary of radiology is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the importance of this technology in Belgium.
