This 20 minute film shows aspects of heroin substitution treatment; intended for doctors, pharmacists and all those interested in drug addiction. At the end of the sequences, we hear the personal experiences of 2 young heroin addicts who have undergone substitution treatment during several months, followed by the evidence of doctors and a pharmacist who explain the manner by which the health care providers have started these new treatments. The instructional scenarios explain the treatment of substitution, the framework surrounding patient care both in the city and in a specialized center. Made for a professional audience, this film may be used during course work, in conferences, and at meetings with a facilitator.
