Organ shortage in liver transplantation can be overcome using split liver, domino and living related transplantation.Adult-to-adult living related liver transplantation using the right liver (60% of liver volume) represents the newest method of expanding the organ pool. The principles and the technique of this transplant procedure, as developped by Tanaka's team in Kyoto, are demonstrated in this film.
