BIRTHS WITH the BLUETS a documentary film of Mona ACHACHE
The film is the illustration of the essential bonds that the team of Bluets knew to weave between the pregnancy, the preparation with the childbirth, the birth and the first days of the child. It shows the complete course of the women in their last months before the arrival of the baby by holding account of the work achieved within maternity by the medical team.
The film is a succession of portraits of women in their last months of pregnancy, at the time of their childbirth, or in the first months of life of their child. We follow their stories, their complications, their physical and psychological changes, their fears of the pain, their joys, their anguishes, and those of the father too. The film is centered on the birth, or more precisely on all the possible births (low Way, Caesarean, péridurale...), then on the multiple events and questions that this setting in the world involves with it, for the baby, and the adults who surrounds it
The maternity of Bluets completes a great work around the parental accompaniment. It is one of only to propose a preparation with the so complete birth, by the means of several meetings of group around the pregnancy and the setting in the world of the child, animated by the midwives and the medical team.
This film is shown to the future parents as from the sixth month of pregnancy and is used as support with a discussion with a doctor around the arrival with the world of the baby.
It must be able to show with the couples the reality of a childbirth, or rather the reality of all the possible childbirth because a perfect birth does not exist. The arrival of a child is one chaotic, distressing, unforeseeable, upsetting... and marvellous moment.
I am technician of cinema. August 7, 2001, I gave rise to Garance, Bluets.
The arrival of a child is for me the most beautiful adventure of the world. The realization of this film made it possible to me to transmit at the same time the emotion of a birth and its more medical aspect for this film to the mainly informative use.
