Amanda, my daughter, is 26 and autistic. She lives in a dream world where, one day, the Prince Charming will come and gather her up on his white horse. After many difficult years Amanda has finally been offered a place in a residential care home for autistic adults. She first meets John there but when Dimitri, a newcomer, arrives at the home, she falls in love with him. Their relationship is stormy and moving. John follows them around like a shadow.
Amanda is obsessed with the idea that she is expecting Dimitri's baby - She too wants to be pregnant like her sister Amélie. No one can reason with her, she remains adamant and takes refuge in love songs and the dreams which are her reality.
