Whether the product of faulty genes, runaway cell division, or damaged stem cells, cancer is slowing revealing its secrets. No other disease has ever been studied this much! Our understanding of cancer has grown substantially over the past 10 years. High-performance tools now provide researchers with a much clearer picture of what makes cancer tick. It's an enormous initiative involving hundreds of laboratories around the globe. We'll look at the main theories that are revolutionizing our knowledge of the disease, along with the novel strategies that researchers are devising to defeat it.
