The main objectives of the International Health Film Festival, ImagéSanté, are to encourage the education and information about health care, through each audiovisual intermediate that is available in Belgium. The Festival is a veritable forum, where professional physicians and researchers of different areas like cinema, industry and computer sciences meet.
The ninth edition of the Festival pays particular attention to provide information: informing the general public about topics by which they are directly affected and informing and educating adolescents about selected topics by using schools as intermediate. The “spécial jeunes” programme and the production of a DVD, with pedagogical instruction, picks up the best films that are presented at the Festival.

The five days of ImagéSanté are addicted to new technologies, therapeutic instruments, research results, prevention and, of course, health education in general.

For national and international innovators ImagéSanté constitutes a stimulation to create new qualitative audiovisual documents. Thus, the majority of the documents presented at the next edition are recent realisations.

Another objective of the Festival is the presentation of recent developments in the new media domain, medical computer sciences domain and illustrations in general.
The International dimension is a special characteristic of the Festival. The presented films originate in different countries: Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, China, The Netherlands, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, United States of America, Argentina, Gabon, Israel, Denmark, …
The jury is composed of different personalities and various nationalities. Thus, in 2010, the jury will consist of numerous Festival directors from all over the world, like: United Arab Emirates, Badajoz – Spain, Videoprimaria – Spain, Aurillac – France, Audiovisueel Centrum – Amsterdam, Videomed Cordoba – Argentinia, Canada … and other personalities of the scientific research, of the press, …
