Since its inception, ADECA75 (organization of cancer screening in Paris) in addition to its mission of organizing cancer screening it has developed information and the awareness of the Parisian public to initiate their adherence to screening for breast and colorectal cancer. These actions were based on partnerships involving field population, health professionals and associations.
This film follows the campaign of colon cancer detection in the departement of the North (France)
The film consists of 5 sequences.
first sequence : This part presents Mr. Lamy, a man in his sixties who has been in remission from colon cancer for 7 years.
the second : A cartoon presents the hemocult test and the method for use it.
the third : Three women and a man talk about their colon cancer screening.
the fourth : A general practitioner gives information about the tests results.
Jocelyn Morton's life wasn't supposed to go this way? At age 35, she was diagnosed with colon cancer. Later, it would migrate to her liver, and doctors told her the prognosis was poor.
Now the cancer, which had been held at bay, is spreading again. But Jocelyn, a single mother with a 15-year-old son, is a survivor. She has been living with cancer for a decade and has beaten the odds before. She hopes she can do it again, but her greatest fear is that the doctors will give up on her.
