Marguerite has been swept away by a cystic fibrosis. She’s filmed by her both parents. The chronicle of her six years of life unfolds inside sequences, by musical intermission: first moments, early childhood, hospital rooms, friendships, celebrations and summer games, interspersed with overtures on the landscape. It’s a whole life story. The issue of the film is given since the beginning, but here, each second is shown for its intensity, his miracle, and his resistance to death.
"The Eighth Summer" is a film about true love, about saying goodbye, and about new beginnings – and first and foremost about the art of being happy even in the most difficult of circumstances.
" 1 on 25 " is a document of information on an underestimated disease: the cystic fibrosis. This film proposes: a historic lighting and a medical explanation by the voice of a specialist; the fight of a grandmother, who decided to fight for her small son and all other patients through her association; patients' crossed portraits, as Lilian or Benoît, which live with this disease which involves a permanent adaptation in the situations of the everyday life.
