The bicap system is a bipolar coagulation probe which was originally introduced for gastro intestinal and pulmonary endoscopic surgery, mainly for its self-adjusting energy system ensuring reliable depth of thermal injury. For gynaecological endoscopic surgery a 5 mm rigid prototype probe was developed with a central suction-irrigation channel.
Catheter ablation for AV nodal reentry tachycardia is performed succesfully with increasing frequency. However, the correlation between catheter position the electrical recordings of its bundle potentials and fast and slow pathways with the underlying morphology of the AV node, its bundle and the nodal approaches is less well understood. This video program provides better understanding of these correlates
