“La Maison” is a palliative care center, located near Aix-en-Provence, in the village of Gardanne. It’s a special place where patients who are faced with the ordeal of illness and an oncoming death are cared for with humanity and consideration. At “La Maison”, one isn’t only expecting the end. One can enjoy every minute. Every patient is entitled to dignity and congeniality. It isn’t forbidden to continue to dream of happiness.
A red dragon on the water line. On board, twenty women. Twenty warriors. From 29 to 60 years, from all walks of life, they rowed with all their strength. A repetitive gesture, a common trance.
