The main objective of ImagéSanté, the International Health Film Festival of Liège, is to promote health education and information through any audiovisual means.
ImagéSanté is also an impetus to the creation of new innovative, quality audiovisual documents, both at national and international level.
Another objective of the Festival is to present current developments in the field of new media, medical informatics (CD-Rom, Internet, Telemedecine …) and imagery in general.
ImagéSanté is 5 days devoted to new therapeutic technologies and resources, to research findings, to prevention and, of course, to universal health education, all by means of the image.
Documents that conform to the abovementioned objectives are allowed to compete, after selection by Médiathèque (Media Library) of the French-speaking Community asbl (La Médiathèque – Health Education Department)

The participants also agree that their film may possibly be put on public loan by La Médiathèque and mentioned in its Health Education catalogue. This does not constitute an obligation for La Médiathèque, which remains free to choose according ot its own criteria.
The screenings of documents are grouped by categories, the list of which is defined by the ImagéSanté Organising Committee and Scientific Committee according to the audiences concerned and the subjects dealt with.
A document may only be screened in a single category.
The author purposes the category in which s/he wishes the document to compete. The selection Committee shall validate that proposal.
In each category, a panel of judges, composed of specialists in the discipline, awards one or more prizes for the Category.
A Selection Commitee, chosed by Organising Committee and Scientific Committee chose documents which compete for prizes and distinctions awarded by the jury.
The Judges are composed of international health personalities and communication professionals from various backgrounds.
A document may only receive one single prize but may be awarded several distinctions.
After the Judges’deliberations, the results are proclaimed at the Closing Session on 17 March 2012.
The prize will only be awarded to the person who registred the document or to his or her representative. If the author or his or her representative is unable to attend the prizegiving, the prize will be withdrawn.
The Judges’ decisions are final.
Every document screened at the ImagéSanté Festival is integrated into the ImagéSanté Video library. It may be subsequently screened at the Festival, whether partly or in full, with the approval of Organising Committee for cultural, scientific or educational purposes.
Registration of a document with ImagéSanté implies acceptance of this document.
